The Washington Post is the fifth largest newspaper in the United States by circulation, according to Wikipedia's article. The paper views itself as a regional, however, and the majority of its circulation is within Washington D.C.

The Post's website reports they employed 784 news and editorial staff, an additional 851 production staff, and 1027 business employees (stats as of Sept. 2004).

As of 2005 reporters and staff at the Washington Post had earned 38 Pulitzer Prizes, 18 Nieman Fellowships, and 368 White House News Photographers Association Awards, among others.

Donald E. Graham is the Chairman of the Board, and Boisfeuillet Jones Jr. is the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer.
